Custom orders

Most weeks, someone WhatsApps me asking if I can tweak a strap, swap a colour, or make something I haven't made before. The answer is almost always yes — as long as it sits within the Smithco style and the leathers I've got on the shelf.

Some of my favourite pieces have come from these conversations. A laptop bag for a my husband, built around what he actually carries. A favourite Smithco style in a one-off colour. Custom branded aprons, a new take on one of my main collection pieces — same bones, fresh proportions. A leather version of something that kept wearing through in canvas.

A few things to know: I work within the Smithco design language — bold leather, bold stitching, in my Cape Town studio, built to last. I'll be straight with you about what's possible, what's not, and what it'll cost before any leather gets cut. Lead times run a little longer than the ready-made pieces — usually worth the wait.
